Moving or Pushing a Digital Certificate Order from a Customer Control Panel to another

You can move a Digital Certificate Order along with all its related Services from your existing Customer Control Panel to another Customer, by following the steps mentioned below:

  1. Login to your Control Panel. 1

  2. Search for the Digital Certificate Order and proceed to the Order Details view. 2

    Note

    If the Digital Certificate Order is Suspended, you will have to first get it Unsuspended before proceeding further.

  3. Click Move Services link on the top right-hand side of the screen, to initiate the process.

  4. Here, you would have to mention the following details:

    • the Customer Username (Email Address) of the Customer account where you wish to move the Digital Certificate Order.

    • the Customer ID of this account. The Customer ID is a unique number associated with a Customer's Profile. If you do not know the Customer ID of the new account, you can find it in Settings -> Primary Profile in the new Customer Control Panel.

    Note
    • If you are moving the Digital Certificate Order under a different Reseller, but have not created a Customer Account under that Reseller, you need to correspond with this Reseller for your Customer ID and Username (Email Address) to move your domain name to this Customer Control Panel.

    • You will encounter the below error messages in case:

      • the Customer Username (Email Address) and the Customer ID you specified are not of the same Customer:

        Attention

        The Customer username and Customer ID are not of the same Customer

      • the Customer Username (Email Address) and/or the Customer ID you specified are incorrect:

        Attention

        Invalid Customer

  5. Select whether you wish to retain the existing Contact Details after the domain name associated with the Digital Certificate is moved to the new Customer Control Panel. This will keep the Whois Details of your domain name as is, even after moving the domain name. If you do not select this option, then the Contact Details will change to the Default Contacts of the new Customer Control Panel.

    Note

    If you have purchased a Digital Certificate Order for a .ASIA domain name, then while moving/pushing the Order:

    • if you choose to retain the existing Contact Details, then the current CED Contact would continue to be used for your .ASIA domain name, even after the Move.

    • if you choose to not retain the existing Contact Details, then the Registrar's default CED Contact would be used for your .ASIA domain name after the Move.

  6. Confirm that the Customer account to which you are moving this Digital Certificate, is the one you really intend to and click the Confirm button.

Note
  • If you purchased a Digital Certificate Order for a .EU domain name Order already present in your Control Panel, then you need to first complete moving your .EU domain name Order. Once the action of moving your .EU domain name Order is complete, you can move the Digital Certificate Order to the new Customer by following the process explained above.

  • If you have purchased a Digital Certificate Order for a .UK domain name Order already present in your Control Panel, then you can not move this Order.

  • Third level .ME domain names can be registered only by Montenegrin individuals and entities. Hence, if you are moving a Digital Certificate Order for a Third level . ME domain name Order already present in your Control Panel, do ensure that the Customer to whom you are moving has the Default Registrant Contact as a Montenegrin individual or entity.

  • When a .TEL domain name is registered, the system automatically creates an account for accessing the .TEL Hosting Control Panel and sends the login details to the Registrant Contact. If moving of your Digital Certificate Order associated with a .TEL domain name Order already present in your Control Panel involves change of the Registrant Contact, then you need to update the email address associated with the .TEL Hosting Control Panel for this domain name.

  • If you have purchased a Digital Certificate Order for a .NZ domain name Order already present in your Control Panel, then you can not move this Order.

  • If you purchased a Digital Certificate Order for a .CA domain name Order already present in your Control Panel, then you can not Move either of the Orders, since the associated .CA domain name can not be moved.

  • If you purchased a Digital Certificate Order for a .ES domain name Order already present in your Control Panel, then you can not Move either of the Orders, since the associated .ES domain name can not be Moved. The .ES Registry neither allows modification of any Contact Details of the Registrant Contact nor allows selecting of another Contact as the Registrant Contact.

Attention

You may encounter an error while attempting to Move Services for a Digital Certificate Order, if:

  • One or more Services for this domain name are currently being processed.

  • There is a Pending Invoice for any Service associated with this domain name.

  • There are one or more Services under another Customer of this [new] Reseller.

    Example:

    You have purchased a Digital Certificate for yourdomainname.com through your Customer Control Panel with ALVO Business Solutions, Corp. and have purchased Email Hosting Service for yourdomainname.com through Reseller B [from your Customer Control Panel] under the Customer Account of X. Now if you try to move this Email Hosting Order to another Customer Control Panel [say Customer Account of Y] under Reseller B, you will encounter an error.

  • One or more Products/Services are currently under the Money Back Period. (This would imply that deletion of that particular Product/Service would entitle you to a refund.)

In any of the above cases, the Moving or Pushing of the domain name is not possible and you will have to either:

  1. wait for the processing to complete, or

  2. Cancel any Pending process.

  • For Resellers: You may encounter the below error in case the [new] Reseller has not signed for the Digital Certificate Product:

    Reseller has not signedup for this Product - Digital Certificate. So, we can't complete your request

    In this case, the [new] Reseller needs to sign up for the Digital Certificate Product before the Digital Certificate Order can be moved.

  • You will encounter the below error in the case of attempting to Move / Push a Digital Certificate Order to a deleted Customer's account:

    New Customer's status prohibits this operation

    In this case, the Moving / Pushing of the Order is not possible. In order to essentially Move / Push this Digital Certificate Order away from the current Customer, you will have to add / create the new Customer account.

  • If your Digital Certificate Order is for a .DE domain name that is also present in the same Customer account, then while Moving you will encounter the following error message if the Customer you are moving to, does not have a .DE Contact with either the Registrant or the Administrative Contact with the country as Germany.

    Either registrant or admin contact must be a resident of Germany
